Blair & Kayla Got Married!
No better time was had with these folks. I was so happy to take these photos and had a blast doing it. We played poker, rode trains and drank some beers!
I hope you enjoy this set of Newfoundland wedding photos!
- Starting off with the boys, playin’ some poker… eatn’ some Mc D’s.
- nomnomnom.
- This is Blair. He’s just hanging out.
- Meanwhile, with our bride we’re all ready to get to the church.
- A lovely piece of framed artwork for her daughter’s wedding day. It was quite the touching gift I must say.
- Even the pup was dressed up!
- I’m always a fan of red on black, simply put it’s eye pleasing. Red is a great accent color and the black just stands out against common lighter environmental colors such as beige and whites.
- The getaway in a classic Oldsmobile.
- And the boys lookin’ classy.
- A very happy bridal party!
- We finished up with the family formals, the b’ys grabbed their beer and hit the bus. We met next for photos down Southside Road.
- One of my favorites from 2012 without question. We got lucky with perfect sunlight striking the houses behind, just enough to make them pop but not so much as to wash out our bride and groom.
- Downtown at the old train station. I shot a few closer photos but also wanted something big, grand and a little bit different.
- Just a subtle hand on your knee… :-)
- Reception time! Let the fun begin. Loving the red carpet movie premiere cake, looks great… again with the red+black combo, very nice.
- First dance!
- There were a few come from away’s at the wedding so naturally a Screech-In is going to happen.
- These poor souls are about to do things most true Newfoundlander’s haven’t…
- mmmmm Bologna.
- Yes this is a real dead codfish.
- Heh. Love it!
- And then they had to do a jig… some did a pretty good jig.
- Then they were required to recite a Newfoundland phrase. it was rather comical a couple aced it though.
- And that’s it! They’re all honorary Newfoundlanders. Yis b’y!
- This is one of their guests singing the “Laughing Policeman”.
- Throwing the flowers. Everyone made a mad dash.
- And then Blair danced his way to removing Kayla’s garter. Showing off his smooth moves…
- The last dance for the happy couple! :-)
- All together now!
