Cobbler Path – Exploring Red Cliff to Doran’s Lane on the East Coast Trail

After a painful couple of weeks waiting for my D3 to return, it finally has. During that time, I’d picked up a new lens, the Nikon 16mm fisheye. Having that lens, sit on my desk every day, staring at me… no, screaming at me to be used for two weeks was torture.
In the meantime, whilst Nikon did some much needed cleaning, lubrication and care on my D3 before the busy summer officially kicks off, I picked up a Canon 5D markII, which is about as good as camera as you can get and it’s been fun to play with a Canon. Here’s a few pictures!

- This is from a section on the East Coast Trail here on the Northeast Avalon that’s due to be officially opened this July (I think). It’s got to be one of the coolest places I’ve ever seen on the Avalon, yet at the same time, one of the more dangerous places as well. Mr. Justin Tobin and myself hike this section of trail on a somewhat weekly basis. When we came back up out of the trail, some punks had little the grass around the entrance to the trail on fire. It was dangerously close to the treeline, so we phoned the FD. We like to think we saved the whole of the East Coast Trail.
