A Hockey Themed Wedding with Bonnie and Travis, and the Montreal Canadiens
You’re invited to the first hockey wedding with Bonnie and Travis, bring your seat warmers and get ready to cheer!
What’s more is that the entire wedding had a bit of a theme, a Montreal Canadiens theme.
From time to time a wedding comes along that makes you stop and realize that there’s a lot of different ways to have fun on your wedding day. Having the whole ceremony including the bridal party out on the ice at your local rink is definitely one way to do it.
I enjoyed this wedding a lot. From a photography stand point, you have the love all that brilliant red from the Canadiens colors and from another… hey that’s a Stanley Cup shaped cake! OMG!
- The boys had an inspirational message along side their street hockey battle.
- Bonnie and Travis are absolutely huge Montreal Canadiens fans and as such, decide to have a little fun with their wedding day. As you can see, it’s very Canadiens-centric and the red just looks so good against the
- Bonnie’s wonderful dress.
- Coming out of the ole’ hockey bag and sizing it up.
- Getting it on is always interesting. Gotta tie it up tight!
- White dress but not without Canadien’s red shoes… not everyone was so thrilled about the Canadien’s colors.
- Lovely rebuilt Ford.
- On the way to the game… err wedding. :-)
- Lace ’em up dad!
- Get those skates on, it’s game on.
- The ceremonial first puck drop.
- The man on the left — a Leafs fan — is singing the national anthem while the boys stand, sticks in hand waiting for the knot to be tied.
- Travis and Bonnie
- First kiss and the couple’s commemorative jerseys!
- The winning lap around the ice.
- It’s not hockey without a net!
- Married for just minutes and already they’re brawlin’.
- And for that they get 5 minutes for fighting and game misconducts. Shockin’ b’y.
- Our lovely bride and groom.
- When we finished up at the rink we took off for the beach, quite the juxtaposition. We made some lovely photos on the shores and near the bridge.
- I dared the boys to jump off the boat to the dock. It wasn’t a big jump but the results were worth it.
- After all of this we decided to swing back to the rink for a couple final shots.
- From then on out it’s party time.
- What’s a hockey themed wedding without arena food! Hot dogs, hamburgers and fries!
- And what good is a oldie stylin’ car if you can’t make out a bit in the back seat?
Awesome!! Seeing these makes me so excited for my wedding!
