Melissa & Paul
Wow, what a weekend. When Melissa and Paul contacted me for their wedding — about two years ago — I instantly said yes. Port aux Basques is beautiful; with it’s golden sandy beaches and it’s own piece of the Appalachians how could I not take this on. Knowing what I know now, I’d of probably done it for free!
- We arrived a day early to scout and set up at the reception venue. What this meant is we had a night to hang with the boys. They didn’t hesitate to get started. Yes, to answer your question, these wedding photos were started with a picture of empty liquor bottles. :-D
- Because we had a night to sit back and relax, we decided that Paul, our groom, looked a little too much like a Tony Soprano character to pass up. He looks the part. Fortunately for us, he’s pretty chill, so long as he was the one holding the money.
- But the rest of the boys weren’t! They were absolutely determined to get their money back. I forget what time it was when this photo was made, but it was certainly past midnight and they were certainly after having a few.
- The next day came and every song that came on — at random — seemed to have a hidden message in it. Honestly, you couldn’t plan this type of thing.
- Paul does clean up well when the mob isn’t influencing him.
- Dad and son on his big day.
- The fields… the sharp suits… If you’re thinking “boy band”, good.
- A horse? Of course. The neighbors (or should I say, naaaybours) had a horse.
- With our bride it was business as usual.
- Up and over, fits like a glove! :-D
- First look, jaw droppin’!
- A father and his daughter. :*)
- Being it was in Port aux Basques, all the b’ys from the boat had to get out for a look as we went tooting by in the car.
- Let’s go to the beach, each, Let’s go get away, They say, what they gonna say? Have a drink, clink, found the bud light!
- Let’s go to the beach, each…………….
- Ok. So, it was cold — the water, not the airtemp, it was about 25-30 if I recall. Anyway… the water was bloody freezing. After I got in for a bit, my feet were rather numb.
- But we all got in!!!
- Thankfully these dresses dried out pretty quickly and of course, ringing ’em out like a washcloth helps too.
- So happy he could jump for joy, so he did!
- The MOB!!! They had to get another piece…
- Melissa just sat back and relaxed while the boys were brawlin’.
- Soakin’
- All together at the lighthouse!
- Heeeeyyyyyy
- He was thrilled!
- Hah. Jump around!
- One of my many favorites from the day. Port aux Basques is just lovely.
- In this series of photos, he’s diving for the garter. He got it and he almost got me too. :-)
- “We should go home dear, these people wanna go to bed.”
