It’s not a Newfoundland wedding without a Mary Brown’s Big Mary

The First Supper
Any day the sun is shining in Newfoundland is a good day. But when it’s your wedding day it’s even better. We struck one of those magical days this September when Megan and Steve tied the knot. We began our photos in CBS and Holyrood and eventually wound our way down to The Wilds in Salmonier, with some stops in between to a couple locations.
And when the wedding detours to Mary Browns for some of their delicious and famous Big Mary’s, you can’t top that, can you?
Well, maybe.
During dinner, we shot what might be one of my all time favorite photographs. Their emcee bared a striking resemblance to a certain someone featured in Leonardo da Vinci’s famous Last Supper photograph.
When opportunity knocks.
- The boys hanging out in at the shed having a beer.
- The groomsmen trot up the street on a lovely September morning just hours before his wedding day.

- This was probably my favorite location of the day. Perfect light and excellent subjects.
