Rob & Chantelle Got Married (and featured in a music video!)
You know you’re havin’ a time when you’re spontaneously in a Great Big Sea music video on your wedding day…
And that is exactly what happened! Beside the amazing wedding pictures we shot at Fort Amherst, downtown and Colonial Building in Bannerman Park, we also happened upon a video shoot for Great Big Sea and Dean Brody. Next thing ya’know we’re IN THE VIDEO!! So awesome.
Here’s the music video these guys so luckily get to remember their wedding day by.
- No better way to start a wedding day off then with a jumbo pizza.
- Bill and Rob getting ready.
- The guys decided no better way to keep those tuxes clean then playing a little beer football.
- Bill with the amazing catch. Didn’t even spill any of his beer.
- Looked like Dexter was going to rock him but he’s just saying “Hi”.
- The lads lookin’ sharp.
- Chantelle’s dress. Such a nice design, loving the flowers across the front.
- Left: Chantelle kept memories close with a picture of her father. Right: Then she made new ones with a striking gift to her bridesmaids.
- Getting ready, it’s almost time!
- At the ceremony all the boys walked in and gave Rob a special high-five of congratulations. Bill even blew up the fist bump.
- First kiss!
- We first stopped at Colonial Building for a couple snaps.
- So much love! (side note: This is easily one of my favorites from all of 2012. )
- After Colonial Building we popped out to Fort Amherst. What was a bit of an overcast day turned into a sunny blue sky day near the middle.
- Another of my favs from 2012. Everything about this is just great.
- Back overlooking the harbor and the outer battery.
- I think Chantelle is saying “Teeheehee” :-)
- We also took a group photo at the Colonial Building but you can’t pass up this sky and this good looking bunch on the lighthouse steps.
- We spent all of 3 minutes down near the bunkers before heading into downtown St. John’s. But it was 3 minutes well spent. There’s something nice about the photo on the right and how the horizontal lines of the stairs subtly frame Rob and Chantelle.
- We stopped down near Henry Street to get a couple snaps. As I jumped out of the car I heard music. Then I hear what sounds like Alan Doyle. We all quickly realized that both Alan Doyle and Canadian country music artist Dean Brody were filming a video together on a downtown rooftop. Everyone went over and started cheering for them.
- Next thing we know, they’re out on the road playing for us. Holy cow!
- Did I say holy cow yet! HOLYCOW! They’re playing FOR us RIGHT here. It was awesome.
- Alan Doyle is a class act.
- Very cool that they did this for us… but that’s not all…. for now, back to the wedding pictures. ;-)
- Scotty gets fancy with the pinky extension… Oh Scotty.
- The emcee for the reception was hilarious.
- Just seeing this makes my stomach grumble with desire.
- Shoe game! Rob takes one on the head for answering incorrectly.
- Rob is a pretty sharp guy.
- These guys too I guess…
- Party time! Let’s dance!
- Everyone danced together… I mean everyone.
- Throwin’ dice!
- Awwww yeaaaaaah
- Flower toss!
- The madness!
